How Beautiful is this Elephant Watchtower in Odisha

Odisha, when we hear this word, we certainly have a specific image in mind. One is Lord Jagannath and the other one is the lush green forest cover it has. One of the most spectacular lands in Odisha is Sambalpur. When you start reaching out to Sambalpur from Deogarh you will find a beautiful Badrama Wildlife sanctuary. Ushakothi and Badrama Wildlife Sanctuary make the most out of the land covering a staggering number of square kilometres, giving a vast ecological ground to thrive many species of land animals on the planet.

The elephant is certainly one of the most common animals in the wilderness.  However, they stay in deep dense forests, and they often come to nearby streams and rivers to quench their thirst. Even if we couldn’t get any chance to meet these big creatures, we certainly found a beautiful Watchtower and a small water reservoir close to it. And God, those reflections of dense forest cover on the water were just mesmerizing. The water level was low, and the sheer depth of the forest making it quite invisible from the outside world, makes it a quintessential getaway destination for a lovely cold dip on a rainy day.

It filled our soul. The nature, dark clouds, some thundering chatters and our banters. It was all worth it for an amazing Weekend Ride. Although the dense forest roads are quite unexpected to be honest, positively, because of the watch tower, actually. But more surprising was there was no one on a Sunday afternoon. We found the place to ourselves and had a great time.

Just a few problems are that plastic pollution is everywhere, please travel responsibly. We need nature, nature doesn’t need us. 💚 PEACE. Catch my blogs on the Tripoto community for instant updates.
